New Capabilities Extend Enterprise Java Deployment to Market-Leading Build and Test Automation System
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) — May 18, 2009 -- Phurnace Software, Inc., the Java application deployment company, today announced the availability of a direct integration of Phurnace Deliver™ with ElectricCommander®, the build and release automation solution from Electric Cloud®. This will enable mutual customers to fully automate their application deployment processes.
The integration combines the Phurnace Deliver™ ability to automatically configure and deploy Java web applications with the ElectricCommander framework for build-test-deploy process automation. As a result, customers will be able to more efficiently build, test, promote and deploy applications throughout their environments and report back on success, failure and object-level changes.
“This integration is important because it demonstrates our commitment to fit in seamlessly to the existing infrastructure that is used for the development and deployment of software applications,” said Daniel Nelson, vice president of products at Phurnace Software. “Too often, companies use a manual process or a series of difficult-to-maintain scripts to prepare the environment and deliver software releases into production. These processes can now be fully automated with this integration. ElectricCommander is a very popular product and gaining market share, this integration made sense for our respective customer bases.”
Phurnace Deliver provides comprehensive support for IT staff and developers during complex enterprise Java troubleshooting and deployments to decrease errors, streamline implementations and avoid the downtime and outages that come with manual or script-based processes.
With the ElectricCommander integration, Phurnace Deliver customers will be able to:
- Have a fully automated and script-less deployment process
- Generate audit reports of exactly what changed to a target system after a deployment
- Preview changes to an environment prior to actual deployment
- Fail promotions and roll-back to a prior release if deployments result in unexpected changes to the target environment
- Manage application configuration data
“With the Phurnace integration, Electric Cloud can enhance the value of ElectricCommander for IT operations environments,” said Martin Van Ryswyk, vice president of engineering at Electric Cloud. “This integration closes the gap that exists between development and operations staff, and improves our ability to fit seamlessly into any software development infrastructure.”
