Phurnace has been acquired by BMC Software. BMC, a leader in data center automation tools, has acquired Phurnace Software. The Phurnace products will be continually enhanced and extended as part of the BMC Business Service Management product portfolio. Phurnace will continue to offer deep integrations to all of the major third-party data center and release management products on the market.

Our software streamlines the deployment and configuration of Java EE™ apps which allows customers to save money and spend time on more valuable projects. They experience substantially fewer errors in their development, test and production environments. And their use of scripts are significantly reduced or even eliminated. We have been recognized by leading industry analysts like Gartner, Forrester, The 451 Group, Enterprise Management Associates and Ptak, Noel & Associates as providing a new approach that augments existing data center automation tools. Our products have received formal support and integration validations, including “IBM Ready for WebSphere” and “IBM Ready for Rational”. Our products drop smoothly into data center environments from BMC, HP, IBM, Oracle and CA.

We are all about making a real difference in the daily lives of our customers. We are passionately and exclusively dedicated to this task. We all have direct experience with application server environments, and we understand the daily challenges that development and IT professionals face when building and deploying solutions in these environments.

We have very ambitious plans. Our products are at the forefront of new data center trends. Our solutions enable virtualization initiatives by streamlining the deployments of apps into virtual images -- instantly and without cumbersome scripting. Our solutions are also being used in Cloud Computing. We deploy apps in minutes into the Cloud for our own customer training purposes and many of our customers see us as a critical tool for their migration into the Cloud. We’re preparing to tackle additional enterprise application deployment challenges as well. We are working on products that will help our customers manage their Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) layer and the configuration of a select list of critical out-of-the-box applications. These are all technologies that – like Java EE™ - are difficult to deploy and manage. We intend to change that.
